Asha Rangappa
Senior Lecturer at Yale University
Asha Rangappa is a Senior Lecturer at the Yale University’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and a former Associate Dean at Yale Law School.
Prior to her current position, Asha served as a Special Agent in the New York Division of the FBI, specializing in counterintelligence investigations. Her work involved assessing threats to national security, conducting classified investigations on suspected foreign agents, and performing undercover work. While in the FBI, Asha gained experience in intelligence tradecraft, electronic surveillance, interview and interrogation techniques, and firearms and the use of deadly force. She has taught National Security Law and related courses at Yale University, Wesleyan University, and University of New Haven.
Asha graduated cum laude from the Woodrow Wilson School of International and Public Affairs at Princeton University and was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study constitutional reform in Bogotá, Colombia. She received her law degree from Yale Law School and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Juan R. Torruella on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is admitted to the State Bar of New York (2003) and Connecticut (2003).
Asha has published op-eds in The New York Times, The Atlantic, and The Washington Post, among others, and has appeared on NPR, BBC, and several major television networks. She is an editor for Just Security and is currently a legal and national security analyst for CNN.
Lauren C Anderson

A distinguished former FBI Executive and the first U.S. Mission Geneva-sponsored Executive in Residence at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, Ms. Anderson has unique national security, geopolitical, risk, and crisis management expertise, cross-pollinated with depth in international women’s issues, including advising and mentoring women in areas of conflict. She has worked on six continents with governments, international organizations, NGOs, business, and civil society, and she has spoken in countries as diverse as Qatar, Turkey, Argentina, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Switzerland, and Egypt. Ms.
Anderson worked in various leadership roles at the FBI during a 29-year career, including as the FBI Legal Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Paris, where she led FBI engagement in 24 countries, 22 of which were in Africa. She led the New York Joint Terrorism Task Force as Interim Special Agent in Charge. Ms. Anderson holds many professional awards and certifications, including from the Director of National Intelligence.
Ms. Anderson is an advisor to the U.S. Comptroller General at the Government Accountability Office on international security, intelligence, criminal justice, and women’s leadership. She is an Independent Director for two public companies: ShoulderUp Technology Acquisition Corp and Imageware. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, an Advisor for Stellar Solutions, a Special Skilled Role Player for the U.S. Army, and a Global Ambassador with Vital Voices. She serves as the Board Chair for the Red Dot Foundation, a technology NGO in India.
David R. Koenig
President and Chief Executive Officer, The DCRO Institute
David R. Koenig is the award-winning author of Governance Reimagined: Organizational Design, Risk, and Value Creation and The Board Member’s Guide to Risk. He has served on both for-profit and non-profit boards and as a chief executive officer. He created corporate risk management programs at three different companies and has managed complex financial portfolios in excess of tens of billions of dollars in size. He is the President and CEO of The DCRO Institute, serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Risk Management in Financial Institutions, is the founder of the Directors and Chief Risk Officers group (the DCRO), and is a co-founder of the Professional Risk Managers International Association (PRMIA).
Howard Brod Brownstein

Howard Brod Brownstein, CTP, is a nationally-known turnaround and restructuring professional, and regularly provides programs for Women in the Boardroom. He is President of Brownstein Corporation, which provides turnaround management and advisory services, as well as investment banking, fiduciary services, litigation consulting, investigations and valuation services. He regularly serves on the boards of directors of public and private companies, and currently serves on the boards of: P&F Industries (Nasdaq: PFIN) where he chairs the Nominating/Governance and Strategic Planning & Risk Assessment Committees, Renew Financial, where he serves as chair of the Risk Committee, and Merakey, a nonprofit with over 10,000 employees. He is a Certified Turnaround Professional, and also an NACD Board Leadership Fellow and Immediate Past President and Board Chair of the NACD Philadelphia Chapter. He has authored ninety articles and textbook chapters is a Contributing Editor at two publications, and is a regular guest-lecturer at Harvard Business School, Wharton, NYU and elsewhere. He received JD and MBA degrees at Harvard, and B.S. (Wharton) and B.A. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.
