About the Speaker

Allan Tepper

CPA/MBA, Co-Founder & Senior Managing Director for CFO Consulting Partners

Besides being a co-founder of CFO Consulting Partners LLC, Allan Tepper is co-head of the firm’s Transaction/M&A and Private Equity practices, and he heads the firm’s Technology and Apparel practices. While with CFO Consulting Partners, he has served as interim CFO for private companies; provided sell-side M&A guidance and implementation services; prepared pre-audit financial statements; advised companies on growth and capital raising strategies; provided GAAP, bank regulatory and compliance guidance; and provided many other services in the Transaction/M&A and Private Equity practice areas. Allan has experience in the commercial banking, technology, apparel, and many service-oriented industries.

Allan has more than thirty years of experience in senior financial management with large and small companies. He was the top U.S. financial officer for the U.S. operations of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) for more than ten years; he also held senior financial management positions at Citibank and Chemical Bank. He held board positions for two of CIBC’s FDIC insured banks, its venture capital subsidiary, and its commercial finance company; and he led the founding of CIBC’s commercial finance company by obtaining approval to form the entity from the Federal Reserve Bank, and by securing a large capital contribution from CIBC’s Canadian-based parent. Allan also held senior financial management positions at Citibank and Chemical Bank; he managed the NY tri-state financial services practice for consulting firm Jefferson Wells, and he held senior level M&A, planning and accounting positions at SCM Corporation, a Fortune 500 consumer products company. For the past ten years plus years, Allan has held interim CFO positions and provided senior-level consulting services to small and midsized public and private companies.

Allan is a CPA, and has an MBA from Baruch College. He is on the Board of Directors of a local Boys & Girls Club, and, as mentioned above, is a past board member of two FDIC insured banks. He is also the past Chairman of the Banking Committee of the NYS Society of CPAs, and the past President of the NYC Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI). He is a member of the NYS Society of CPAs, the Association for Corporate Growth, the NJ Banker’s Association and other professional organizations. He has been a judge for the M&A Advisor Awards, and he speaks frequently on entrepreneurship and networking.
