"The Women in the Boardroom event in Dallas was very informative for women who want to learn more about serving on boards of directors. For example, I learned a great deal about the functions of a board of directors and how various skills interact for successful accomplishment of the functions. I also learned about the differences and similarities among for-profit boards, not-for profit boards, and advisory boards. The panelists’ knowledge and areas of expertise were the perfect blend for the afternoon. The synergies among these women’s skills and knowledge made for an afternoon filled with both a wonderful breadth and depth of discussion. I will use the information to continue considering how I could best position myself to serve on a board and to identify and develop the skills and expertise I could bring to a board. They also provide an excellent set of resources, including books and websites, from which to seek further information. I have already ordered one of the books on the list of resources suggested and have begun to peruse several of the web sites listed. Finally, the session concluded with a networking reception where I was able to meeting a variety of women who share my interest in board service, and I was able to gather even more information from a variety of organizations that had information tables at the reception. I would highly recommend this group and this session for any woman considering board service."

"I was most impressed with the openess with which the speakers shared their experiences. Their stories were motivational and invaluable. Thank you for putting this together. I look forward to attending the next event."

"Congratulations on a great turnout for the first Washington DC event. I and my WIT colleagues really enjoyed the speakers insight and candor. With such high quality panelists, I was not surprised that the speakers table was mobbed after the program ended. We made some important connections and will look forward to attending the event again next year."

"I attended the event in St. Louis yesterday and it was AWESOME!!!! As a person with no previous experience with serving on a board, I found the panel discussion very interesting. I took 3 pages of notes! I met some really incredible women at this event. The network session was definitely a plus. I highly recommend this event to everyone!"
