Carol Mills

 

 

Carol Mills has spent over 30 years in the technology sector. A former CEO, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Mills has also directly led numerous functional disciplines, including marketing, sales, strategic planning, business development and engineering.

She serves on the following Board of Directors: Adobe Systems (1998), Tekelec Corporation (2007), Blue Coat Systems (2009) and Xactly Corporation (2010). She chairs three Executive Compensation Committees and also has served as a chair of Nominating and Governance Committees, Investment Committees, and Special Litigation Committees.

Mills was CEO of Acta Technology, an enterprise software start-up specializing in data infrastructure. After 4 years of operations, reaching 150+ employees, $30M in revenues and a break-even run-rate, Acta Techology was acquired by Business Objects. Acta pioneered real-time data extraction and achieved extremely high levels of customer satisfaction and renewals.

Mills was Executive Vice President and General Manager at Juniper Networks where she was responsible for leading Juniper’s fast-growing $1.5B Infrastructure Products Group. This product line, high performance routers for the telecommunications market, contributed the lions’ share of both revenue and profit to the company during her tenure.

Prior to Juniper and Acta, Mills spent 16 years at Hewlett-Packard in a number of roles. Her last 5 years were spent as General Manager of the market-leading and highly-profitable $6B Commercial Unix Systems lines of businesses: hardware, software and solutions.

Prior to her General Management positions at HP, she held various other management roles including Marketing Manager, Product Marketing Manager and Software Engineering Manager in both large-scale industrial products as well as personal computers. Previously, she spent several years as a database software engineer.

Mills has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an A.B. in economics from Smith College.

  Amal Johnson

  Chairman of MarketTools, Inc.

 

Amal Johnson has over 20 years of executive management experience with technology and services companies. From 2005-2008, she was President and CEO of MarketTools, Inc. Previously, she was General Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, President of Baan Americas, and General Manager of the Trading Area at IBM Corporation. Ms. Johnson currently serves on the boards of MarketTools, Inc, Mellanox Technologies (MLNX) and Intuitive Surgical (ISRG). She is a member of the Advisory Board at the Santa Clara University Business School and a senior fellow at the American Leadership Forum. She received a B.A. in Mathematics and Physics from Montclair State University and did her graduate work in computer science at Stevens Institute of Technology. In 2008, Ms. Johnson was an E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist and was named one of the Top Women in Technology by Corporate Board Member Magazine.

Wendy Beecham

CEO, Forum for Women Entrepreneurs & Executives

Wendy Beecham became the CEO of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives in September 2007. Over the past year, she has led a transformation of the organization, clarifying the mission, upgrading the quality of the programming, and adding new member benefits including an Online Community to enable deeper collaboration among members. She currently serves on the Board of ION (Interorganization Network of Women – www.ionwomen.org) , whose mission is to support the advancement of women in the corporate suite and on Boards.

Wendy brings over 25 years of corporate leadership experience. She spent the majority of her career in the field of electronic publishing, holding a variety of senior leadership roles including senior vice president of a division at LexisNexis Group and managing director of London-based Sweet & Maxwell Group, a legal division of the Thomson Corporation. Most recently, she was president and founder of Flawless Leadership, a boutique consulting firm that coached C-level business leaders on executive performance. In addition, she was Chair for two CEO Peer Groups with Vistage International, the world's largest CEO membership organization.
