Gail Deegan
Executive in Residence, Babson College; Executive in Residence, Simmons School of Management
Prior to her "retirement" from corporate America in 2001, Gail Deegan served as Chief Financial Officer for Eastern Enterprises, New England Telephone and Houghton Mifflin. In this capacity she worked closely with the Boards of Directors of these publicly held companies.
She has served on the Boards of Directors and Audit Committees of Houghton Mifflin (prior to joining as CFO), EG&G, Hartford Life and TJX Companies. She currently serves on the Board of Directors and is Chair of the Audit Committee of EMC. She has also served on the Finance Committees and Governance Committees of several public boards.
In addition to serving on the boards of these public companies, Gail has extensive experience serving on the boards of not-for-profit organizations, including Simmons College, Girl Scouts of Patriots' Trail, Mass Bay United Way, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and Wellesley Centers for Research on Women.
Gail earned her BS in Elementary Education from The College of Saint Rose, her MA in American History from The Ohio State University and her MBA from Simmons School of Management. She currently serves as Executive in Residence at Simmons School of Management and Babson College.
C. Kim Goodwin
President, Goodwin Global Advisory (GGA)
With over twenty years of experience in investment and financial services, C. Kim Goodwin formed GGA to provide investment advisory services for a range of clients, from investment boutiques and start-ups to large traditional asset management firms in need of restructuring expertise. Prior to August 2008, Kim was Managing Director and Head of Equities, Globally for Credit Suisse's Asset Management Division. Although based in London, Kim was responsible for the Credit Suisse equity investment vehicles managed throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific, as well as all multi-country equity products.
Ms. Goodwin is an independent director for Akamai Technologies, serving on both the Audit and Compensation Committees, in addition to her leadership on a risk management task force. She is also an independent director for the mutual fund board of Allianz Global Investors, and an Advisory Council member for TakeAction! – which offers socially and environmentally responsible investment solutions. Ms. Goodwin’s previous board service includes Checkfree Corporation (acquired by Fiserv in 2006) as well as a 4-year term as an alumni trustee for Princeton University.
Ms. Goodwin's professional career history includes senior executive positions at State Street Research & Management Company, American Century Investments, Putnam Investments, Prudential Investments, and Mellon Bank. Along with her business accomplishments, she appears frequently in the financial press, including CNBC, and has been featured in Time Magazine, USA Today, Investment News, and Barron’s.
As a cum laude graduate of Princeton University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Politics, and with two Master’s Degrees from the University of Texas at Austin – one in Public Affairs from The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and an MBA in Finance from The McCombs School of Business – Ms. Goodwin is actively involved with advisory boards at both academic institutions.
Pamela F. Lenehan
President, Ridge Hill Consulting
Pamela F. Lenehan is President of Ridge Hill Consulting, a strategy consulting firm. In her 30 year business career she was a managing director in Investment Banking at Credit Suisse First Boston, an officer of a public company, and CFO of a high-tech start-up. She is on the board of directors and chair of the compensation committee of publicly-traded Spartech Corporation and Monotype Imaging. She is also on the board of private equity owned National Mentor Holdings where she is chair of the audit committee. She is on the board of The Center for Center for Women & Enterprise where she chairs the Nominating and Governance Committee.
Janet Lehman
Audit Partner, KPMG LLP
Janet is an audit partner in the Boston office of KPMG LLP, (www.us.kpmg.com), the U.S. member firm of KPMG International Cooperative (“KPMG International”). She has more than 20 years of experience providing external audit services to organizations ranging from publicly-traded Fortune 500 companies, to private organizations, to venture backed start-ups. Her industry experience is broad and includes traditional disciplines such as manufacturing, retail and professional services, as well as high growth, venture backed technology and life sciences companies. As a lead engagement partner for both public and private companies, Janet regularly attends Audit Committee meetings and engages with Boards of Directors.
Janet currently serves on the Audit and Finance Committee of the Massachusetts Public Health Association (MPHA) and the Advisory Board of the Commonwealth Institute. She is also a member of the Strategic Market Relationships and Partner Advancement Committees of KPMG’s Women’s Advisory Board (WAB). Prior Board experience includes the Friends of the Philadelphia Parks.
Janet received her AB in Applied Mathematics from Brown University and a MS of Accountancy and MBA from Northeastern University.

Dr. J. Janelle Shubert
Director, The Center for Women's Leadership, Babson College
Dr. J. Janelle (Jan) Shubert is the Director for The Center for Women’s Leadership at Babson College. For more detailed information about The Center’s mission and programming, please see the website www.babson.edu/cwl.
Dr. Shubert has more than thirty years experience in management and executive education at the university level. Her particular expertise is in organizational communication and change, as well as in various facets of leadership development for women.
Prior to joining Babson College in 2004, she was at The John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard (1992-2004). While at the Kennedy School, she served as Faculty Chair for the School’s two programs for women (the IWF Leadership Fellows program and the National Hispania Leadership Program) as well as two programs designed specifically for public and private sector participants in Northern Ireland.
She has also been a visiting faculty member at London Business School (1990-1992), on the faculty at Harvard Business School (1986-1990), a visiting fellow at The Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School (1985) and both a faculty member and senior administrator at The University of Michigan (1975-1985)
In addition to her academic experience, she has also been an active consultant for more than thirty years, working with public and private, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. For four years she served as a senior member of a consulting group dedicated to helping organizations enhance the leadership development of their most talented senior women.
She earned her Ph. D., at the University of Michigan, holds a master’s degree from Michigan State University and a B.A. from Southwest Missouri State University.
She and her husband, Charles, live in Wellesley, Massachusetts and have one grown son.
